Abstract The Orientalists started their research on Hadiths very early and made it as an important part of their research on slam—Arab Culture. Most of them have their natural misreading on Hadiths based on their bias against Islam. They either treated it negatively, or negated it as a whole. Even so, Orientalists still made substantial achievements. Their complication of dictionaries on Hadiths not only made things convenient for research of the scholars, but also satisfied the demands of Muslims. The Orientalists couldn’t shake off their Christian mode of thinking. This doomed to the inadequacy and defect in their research. The Orientalists and the Arab scholars need to absorb the beneficial composition from each other and pave the way for the dialogue between civilizations.
